Are you an artist? Do you like to create? If you’re looking for a place to let your imagination run wild, inxpot is the place. The coffee shop recently adopted a new twist on the classic open mic night. It is called open arts night and it’s held every Thursday night from 6-8pm.
Molly Brown, a barista at inxpot, developed the open arts night concept. She is a local musician with a passion for all things art. She hosts the event most Thursday nights. She comes prepared with extra instruments, paper, and pens to encourage all creative outlets at open arts night. Molly even has a notebook filled with lyrics so that people can sing along to their favorite covers.
Brown starts every open arts night with a quick solo session. After her initial lyrical greeting, she invites others to share. Whether its singing a song, reading a poem, painting a picture, or playing an instrument, Molly encourages the audience to let their creative juices flow.
Some people come to open arts night to play their own music, others choose to read or write. Regardless of musical inclination, open arts night is a great time to explore your artistic side. Open arts night at inxpot provides the Keystone community with a location to create and share. This is a good opportunity to develop confidence in your art and find others with similar interests.
Every Thursday night, the inxpot is filled with music, art, and happiness. The next time you’re in Keystone, be sure to check out open arts night at inxpot Thursdays from 6-8pm.
